SUMMER INSTITUTE IN ARCHITECTURAL THEORY

The 1996 Summer Institute in Architectural Theory at Iowa State University will convene from July 15 to July 19. This year the institute will be directed toward teachers, advanced students, and practitioners interested in examining the relationship between theoretical concerns and the production of architecture. There is considerable controversy regarding the relevance of these current developments in critical theory to today's design practice. The Institute faculty members this year are: Jennifer Bloomer, Catherine Ingraham, Greg Lynn, Mark Rakatansky, and Robert Segrest.

Since its inception six years ago, faculty, professionals, and students from across the country and around the world (Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, New York, Oregon, Texas, and Washington DC; Australia, Norway, Spain, and Yugoslavia) have attended the Institute.
